New Tariffs

America is facing chaos. The new tariffs have offended many nations such as Canada, China, Mexico, The EU (nations) and Japan, among others. The world is retaliating with their own new tariffs that will make null and void measures the Trump administration is taking to gain a financial advantage. America has already lost billions (and counting) in trade deals due to the new tariffs, due to the fact other nations responded in anger and took their business elsewhere.

Greenland

The Trump administration is also aggressively pursuing the sovereign Danish territory of Greenland. Trump is attempting to annex Greenland to America, even stating force via military action via an invasion is not off the table. This has alarmed many people. Greenland has many billions in rare earths. Greenland is also strategically located in a region which presents the island with a significant military advantage in the world.

The people of the island of Greenland, including their government, have emphatically opposed the attempt. The Prime Minister of Greenland, Jens-Frederik Nielsen angrily stated, "Let me make this clear. The U.S. is not getting that. We don't belong to anyone else. We decide our own future. We must not act out of fear. We must respond with peace, dignity and unity."

Greenland and Canada

Greenland is a member of NATO. If attacked the rest of NATO is obligated to come to their defense. These are formidable, wealthy nations with strong militaries. This could start World War III regarding a territory, Greenland that has no desire to be annexed. Leave them be. The U.S. government also spoke of annexing Canada, another NATO member, who are publicly stating they are not going to stand for it. Once again, leave them be.

Cuban Doctors In The Caribbean

The U.S. government also went to the Caribbean, namely Jamaica, stating the island nation, along with others such as Trinidad and Tobago, and the Bahamas, among others, must stop using Cuban doctors for medical care. For decades Cuban doctors have been administering medical care to no and low income people in many islands in the Caribbean (and other nations of the world). They are well trained and highly intelligent. The Caribbean loves them.

It is a charity service. There is nothing political about their work. However, the Caribbean is being threatened with visas being stripped and tourism destroyed by the U.S. government, among other things, if Cuban doctors are not expelled from the islands and their charity service discontinued. CARICOM has stated the Cuban doctors can continue their work in the Caribbean and will not be expelled. The Caribbean is very offended by what has occurred.

U.S. Deportations

The forced deportations of people in America which are skipping congressionally mandated legal steps is having a very bad effect in the world. Many newspapers are reporting that immigration lawyers in America are alarmed that clients are being denied due process. People are being deported who normally would not be. People with active asylum applications, work permits and green cards are being summarily deported without the cases going through the court system.

Tourism, The World Cup And The Olympics

There is blowback forming in the world, as tourists are openly stating on social networking they are not going to visit America for vacations to places such as Disney, among other places, or to attend the upcoming World Cup or Olympics, for fear they will be illegally arrested and deported to another country. U.S. tourism is valued at hundreds of billions of dollars per year (Florida alone represents $50 billion in tourism per year).

To summarily arrest and throw people out of America without full due process and severely jeopardize U.S. tourism in the process is not a good idea. It will prove very costly. To lose tourism due to the world becoming afraid to come here and face countless lawsuits for wrongful deportation is unwise. No one is stating you can't deport people. However, when opting to do so, you should follow the law to the letter.

The U.S. government's name is going up in smoke in the world. The rule of law needs to be followed. Trump started off well, but ever since Israel's Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, visited Washington, Trump has been making decisions that are not being received well. Remember, it's America first. Not Israel first.

The U.S. government has ventured into too many areas it should not be in, as mentioned above. The government needs to focus on the economy. The American people need the help. Let America be your priority, especially helping the poor, disadvantaged, children, the disabled and elderly.
